We stopped in after an afternoon visit to Fallingwater. I opted for the chicken and biscuits while my wife had the ham dinner. Both were good. My youngest son had a cheeseburger which he said was very good (quite a compliment considering how tough he can be to please on a burger). Everyone there was very nice. We would definitely go again.
My son and I ate here. The waiter was friendly and attentive. I had a Reuben and fries. Sandwich was ok. Had somewhat of an artificial taste such as non stick grill spray maybe. The meat was doubtfully corned beef. It was closer akin to a steak-um patty. My son ordered a bacon cheeseburger well done. It was still fairly pink. He said his Mac and cheese was good though. The food definitely doesn't compare to when I dined at her previous location. Prices seemed somewhat inflated as well. $30 for the sandwiches, sides, coffee and one piece of pie seemed a bit much. Hopefully it was just a fluke. I know for a fact that much higher quality food is capable of coming out of her kitchen.
Our experience was wonderful. Great food and wonderful service. Brenda the owner really keeps the restaurant running well, everyone is friendly, the service was fast, and the food was a big portion for a decent price. (Very very very delicious food) also a huge shout out to Will one of the servers. He was incredibly kind and really helped recommend meals that satisfied everyone's taste. He got our food out to us fast, kept our drinks full, checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything that would make our experience better. Thank you so much for the great experience everyone. P.s. peanut butter and chocolate cake is amazing, as well as the peanut butter fudge.
Came upon this on the way home from a day at Ohiopyle with my grandgirls. Lots of delicious homemade comfort food like meatloaf or ham dinners (yum) as well as staples like burgers and chicken fingers. Great, if smaller, soup and salad bar with spring mix lettuce, lots of expected toppings, pasta salad, three homemade soups. My favorite was stuffed cabbage soup. Service was fast and friendly and attentive. Oh, and a spread of just baked desserts, to boot. If I lived out that way, Brenda's would be my restaurant.
Nice, warm, comfortable, clean place. Stromboli's were great! Not to mention the desserts...holy moly!
